Baby turkeys
Been monitoring the gopher tortoise burrow to see how much the tortoise has grown. Seems like always a lot of activity around the burrow of other critters.
Too bad the mom didn't get into the picture, but looks like we have a new generation of turkeys growing up here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sz-tX-qX7WE |
At my brother's place in Tallahassee (113 acres east of town) he has a flock of about 20-30 from year to year. There are Coyotes and I've seen one Bobcat so the herd gets thinned pretty regular I'm sure.

We have fox around here and I have seen a bobcat on the game cameras a couple of times, so I am pretty sure they don't have an easy life around here too much. Plus some of the local neighbors hunt them too.
We used to see a lot of signs of them foraging in our walking path by digging up swaths of pine needles looking for food, but not much lately. Maybe they have been busy with procreation. |
I just get a blank page and can't see the pics.
