New Ford GT

Heck, this things looks pretty damned sharp, but only a 6 cylinder?

don't under estimate the power of the new EcoBoost engine. Direct Injection, twin turbo..... there are tuners offering 100hp over stock programs.... Imagine if Ford did some tweeking to the engine, and with the weight of the GT being much less than a truck, having better balance than a 5.4 in the old GT..... I think it is going to be a force to reckon with.....

What kind of price are we talking about for something like this?

it will be propelled by the most powerful EcoBoost production engine ever: a next-generation twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that will produce more than 600 horsepower.
not too shabby for a 3.5L, Remember the supercharged 5.4L in the "old" one only made 550hp... (i agree, the 5.4L engine, and the 4.6L engine were terds....)

good question. the older one had a $140K price tag, and some / most dealers tagged on a "fair market adjustment" or a hefty markup on them..... This one will likely me that much or more....

the only one I'll ever be able to afford is the Matchbox version.....

Rich Z 02-10-2015 03:41 AM

Yeah, highly unlikely to be anywhere near my budget allocation......... I would like to have something to eat every day during retirement, and that would likely be my choices: Car or having money for eating regularly.....

Eating 3 squares is overrated :peelout 1:

I read somewhere that the price was expected to be in the $150-$200K range. Makes the new Z06 a bargain.

Rich Z 02-10-2015 12:26 PM

Yeah, and I'm griping over the C7 Z06's engine not being a 427..... :shrug01:
