Default Up she went

I've been busy today,Mary is cooking the bird and I tore apart the vette.Again.I bought new front mono spring riser, not sure the real name. It's the bolts on the front mono springs that lower and raise the front end.GM does not sell them so I had to get them made, they are slightly longer then the originals, but they are a direct bolt in.I bought them from Vansteel.com,one of the venders at the Cypress Garden show.First class company. They we're 60$ a pieceBut to buy the whole mono spring is around 500$,so I thought that was not so bad.The hard part was you had to completely take apart the front suspension, upper and lower control arms had to come apart, shocks and the brake line also came off. Also the tie rod end had to be taken off also. You also have to bleed the front brakes after you put her back together.

WARNING
To anyone who wants to lower there C-5,DO NOT CUT THE FRONT BOLTS OFF.You will have to do what I had to do this morning to raise it back up,not hard just very time consumming.4 hours. It's just easier to lower the car with the bolts or it will cost you 120$ if you cut the bolts off.The car rides great again and my Ant killing days are over.
