Don't give the politicians that much credit. They're not that smart

The DUI laws are there but they still get snagged from time to time.

The bigger problem with the politicians is they seem to be exempt from arrest and prosecution. I know thats a generalization and certainly far from true, but I think you get my drift.

If you want to stop this bill, you need to get on the horn, the e-mail. the letter writing campaing, and let them know how you feel about it's legitimacy and effectiveness. Stay professional and on point. Advise them of your dislike, discontent, and displeasure of the proposal. Remind them of your voting status.

IMO, 50 over any speed limit is crazy. Not unrealistic, just crazy on a public road, but thats just my opinion.

70 in a 20, 85 in a 35...none of this is reasonable to me. But the fines are stupid. All it will do IMO is pormote fleeing and attempting to elude

As I've said before, and keep it in mind for the future, as tax caps get more stringent, government entities are held to a stricter budget (wow!- no more gimme-gimme-gimmie), you're going to see more and more of this kind of government "regulation" to increase the coffers. The regs will be in the interest of "homeland security" or "public safety."

There are better ways, but we're beating a dead horse on the matter.
