Yeah, I did that to my TB back when I put on the Shaner unit. Easy to do when the TB is off, but I doubt it would be much more difficult with it still on the manifold. Can't really say if it makes any difference or not, because there seems to be two sides to the coin.
On one side, yes the bypass would keep heated fluid from flowing through the throttle body (which really isn't necessary in Florida anyway), so the throttle body would be cooler. Theoretically, anyway. But on the other side of the coin, if the manifold and throttle body get hot from heat soak from the engine, perhaps the coolant WOULD cool the TB down somewhat. But perhaps the composite intake manifold prevents or at least limits heat soaking of the throttle body....
Guess it would be interesting to see someone do a before and after comparison using one of those heat sensor guns on the throttle body....
