Default Degreeing your cam.

The importance of "degreeing" a cam. A good example is a customer that did his own heads/cam recently and brought it in for a tune. It made about 15 rwhp less than he expected (another point....all combo's will NOT produce the same results). He had installed the cam dot-to-dot and when we dereed it it was 8 degrees off. Very rarely do I see a cam that when it's installed "dot-to-dot" is right on. Allthough most are only a few degrees off and will run fine, I have seen some as far as 12 degrees off.
