AAA serves a purpose, don't get me wrong, and if you subscribe to their service all the power to you. I'm not complaining about the road-side part of AAA.
My AAA membership was up for renewal April 15th, I cancelled it on March 1st. Plenty of time, right? Even though I did so, I kept getting renewal notices in the mail which have gone ignored by me. In checking my credit card activity online for an unrelated matter, I see that AAA took it upon themselves to charge my cc with a renewal. I called them, reiterated that I cancelled already, and was told the charge would be reversed. That was more than 2 weeks ago and the charge is still on my cc. I disputed the transaction with the bank and that will be that. But what the hell is up with AAA? They have some balls charging the cc without authorization and trying to sneak in a renewal this way.
Okay, rant over. Thanks for listening.
