Yeah, I went out onto the porch this morning to pop a squirrel near the bird feeders, and by the time I eased up to the corner of the house, I had a swarm of mosquitoes buzzing all around me. So yeah, time to set up the third mosquito magnet we just got.
Set it up and put it out near the bird feeders, with Connie standing guard to swat the mosquitoes as I was busy hooking up the propane tank. Skeeters buzzing all around us like they just couldn't wait to get into that mosquito magnet. Have at it, girls.
I know they advertise that a mosquito magnet will cover an entire acre, but I believe it is more of a line of sight sort of coverage. So to cover your home area, you likely need to have the house surrounded by them. At a distance, of course. You don't want to ATTRACT the mosquitoes to your front door.
Got to buy more propane tanks, because I'm going to be burning through three of them every 20 or so days now. They used to last 30 days, but I think they increase the flow of propane to keep the line from clogging up so readily like they used to do.

I think we need to start thinking about building an ark.
Rain, rain and MORE rain.
Skeeters, skeeters, and MORE skeeters.
This time, Noah really needs to leave out the two mosquitoes when collecting animals to go in the ark. If he wants, I have a list of others, too.

Raining here again right now.
I might as well just throw covers over the Corvettes, as our dirt road is NEVER going to dry out at this rate. Got real nice mud holes in the road both north and south of us, so unless I want to take the vettes mud bogging, they are going to just be staying in the garage for the forseeable future.

Looks like this July will be more dry than last year. Only had around 3" last July. Most every summer we go dry then get 24 to 30" in 2 to 3 weeks and then dry the rest of the year.

Raining again today. Actually did see some sunshine this morning, though. And we almost got back from running our errands before the rain started again.
Our road is a mess. Even if it dried out, I don't think I could get the vettes out on it without scraping the undercarriage as the tires fell into the ruts and holes. Sort of jars your teeth loose in the Jeep.

So far we have only had one (1) day so far for the month of July when we did NOT get any rain. And looks like we will certainly get some again today.

Well, we almost made it through today without any rain. It is raining right now. We've only had one day this month (July) where we did not get any rain at all.
