I know it's high $, but IMO, worth every penny!!!
There are those who'll argue, their's is the best (more power to them).
There are those who'll ague there's no need for a detector, (more power to them as well) they're just lucky! IMO.
Save up and drive slow if ya have to for now...get a V1, then let her Rip! Of course try to obey as many laws as possible in doing so!
Good Luck!

RevXtreme sells the Escort for a price to low to print (manufaturers rule) if anyone wants one. I run both depending on which car. The V1 is great with the arrows to tell you where the "bogie" is, but for the $100 +++ more than the Escort, the Escort gets my vote as they are both near identical in warning range & saving my butt! If $ is no object, get the V1.

I just know I am going to procrastinate until I get my first ticket before getting one of these bad boys. Anything tricky about doing an install? I don't mean just slapping it in like I would do in a hurry, I mean a *good* professional looking install.

Yup The V1 comes with the wiring to do that very thing.

yup, as well as the wiring (if you get another mount) to use it in a cigarette lighter of your DD or any other car.

I just bought the Valentine and I am VERY impressed. The range that it picks up bogeys is amazing!

Traveller II
I've used detectors since the old "Fuzzbuster" from the 60's. At the present I have one in each car. Both "talk". I went to the "talk" type years ago when the Cobra came out with that feature. I find that a voice in the car warning me of impending radar is a better attention getter than a "beep". I have the Cobra in my '86 and have a Traveller II by Sensoro in my '03. The Traveller is battery powered and 12 vt. I made up a stainless steel mount in the '03 that fits under the sunvisor and projects out to the top on the windshield, just under the tint. It is hard to see from outside and with it being battery powered there is no cord. I have NEVER had a ticket. But, I don't speed either. I find that the detector comes in handiest when you find yourself in a small town and they suddenly drop their limit from 55 to 25 and there sits a cop looking to fill the local treasury. I know the Escort and the Valentine are the best but for my needs the two I own are sufficent.
Plus I like gadgets!

Have you experienced it's "over the hill" detection ability yet?
I have several times, and it's saved me $$.
