Default C5 headlights

Trying to find out if there is a way to flip open the headlights without turning them on. I want to clean the lenses which they need. Also looking for brighter than stock replacement bulbs and have seen many different ones advertised. Not sure which ones to get as I got used to the C6 headlights when I had it. Maybe a good cleaning and brighter bulbs will help with vision at night. Thanks for any help.

I installed this kit.. It was not bad and the diff at night is much better. There is alot of talk about the blinding of other drivers but I know of no problem with mine. They only are the low beam lights.............There is alot of info on this subject on the other corvette forum..
