For those in the greater tampa bay area I highly recommend checking out FAST if you want to have a little more legal fun in your vette. If I can make it around in my truck (although I got lucky this course was a tad more open than normal), the vette is quite easy.
Every month is a different course. This is an exhibition run I did before hauling the trailer back. And I wouldn't have finished last...
The Florida Corvette Racing Club is putting on the event.
It will be my very first time so I was hoping to get some advice from someone that has done it before!
The guys there will be very helpful. Just let them know you've never done it before and they'll have at least a couple of people help guide you throughout the day. I haven't had the pleasure of running with them yet, but heard it's a great laid back group to run with. Good luck and have FUN!
Here's my latest from our last brooksville event (drivefast.org)
I actually switched from the windshield mount to attaching mine to my harness bar with a tripod mount, but I got a GoPro at the end of last year and just use that now. Now I plug my iphone into my OBDII port and just log engine data. I still haven't looked through the xls file to see what kind of data it actually logged.
Never came off. I ran three seasons with using the iPhone as a camera. The GPS in the phone still gives you lots of data if the app records it. Look forward to the videos!
