In the "Armed Citizen" section there is a story (as reported by the Lake City Reporter- this is the link with the full story http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/article/279199/483/64-year-old-woman-shoots-home-invasion-robber) about a 64 year old woman in Lake City, FL, who defended herself with a handgun against a 26 year old home invader. When she realized someone was breaking in, she grabbed her firearm and left the house through the back door. As she ran, she realized the perp was chasing her, and she turned and fired one shot in his chest. He was later hospitalized in critical condition.

What a surprise that this gun story wasn't on any of the the 6 o'clock news shows- none that I know of at least.

You very rarely ever read stories in the media about guns being used for positive events. And of course, the anti-gunners will always claim that because those "official" media accounts are non-existent, than this is ample evidence that guns used for protection MUST be rare and entirely contrived by the pro-gun camps.
