Yeah, I do know what you mean. There are so many electronics modules in cars these days. But heck, that is true with just about everything lately. I had a devil of a time with my standby generator a little while back, and wound up having to buy a used electronics module to finally fix it.
Certainly the manufacturers of automobiles don't have any incentive to stock parts indefinitely, since they are in business to sell new vehicles. But for us consumers to be spending $50,000+ on what soon becomes almost a throwaway item, well, it does give you pause when you think about it. It is a game that becomes tiresome after a while from playing it for so long.
But what are you going to do? We do like our wheels for getting around town...... I guess we could all just move to The Villages and drive golf carts. Maybe try our hand at souping them up a bit. :hehehe:

Guess if i get a 2019 C7 i will leave it stock and just add a cat back. I am hoping the 8 speed trans in the 2019's will be ok. It was a nitemare for many with the 2015's thru 17's. I notice people are dumping Vettes like crazy now.
Any ideas on why people are dumping them?
No jobs i guess and the economy. Seen tons of low mile Vettes for sale.
Check mark on both of those for me!But I thought most Corvette owners were old and retired. :shrug01:

I jumped on a 2019 C7 and dealer sold it out from under me.
Does that mean you didn't jump hard enough, or the dealer got offered more money from someone else?
Not sure what game they played. They took my info on my trade and then said by way someone was ahead of me. I bought my C6 from them. Not sure why they went to the trouble to bother me about a trade if someone was ahead of me.
I believe that is a ploy many car salesmen use. I guess it is to try to keep you from trying to beat them to death on the price if you are led to believe it could be sold to someone else in front of you. Perhaps they are hoping that you will panic and offer them more money than they are asking. When we bought Connie's truck, the salesman told me the same thing. That a customer was heading over right now from their other dealership across town, but since we were right there now, we could have the truck if we bought it RIGHT NOW. Well, Connie REALLY wanted that truck, otherwise I would have just hung around to see what happened.
Car sales people do some really tricky stuff sometimes. And no matter how long you have done business with any one of them, or a dealership, no one there is really your friend. IMHO.
