WOW fella's.
Got to meet quite a few CORVETTEFLORIDA.COM vette owner's.
Weather was Cold, then VERY cold, then WINDY and Cold, then start stripping shirt's and jacket's then hurry up put them all back on. Let me not forget drizzzle at time's. Think I got 1 pic when the sun came out, LOL.
Danlando, showed and got introduced to racing.and the racing scenes. Now know's what Spiceman means by the 120 Sunoco fumes smelling like roses .
I'll allow the othe Corvetteflorida folk's who were there to give their own input of the race. The Porsche Corral folk's did get a big kick out of us Vette owner's posing for pic's in front of their car's.
When Leaving the in field, I wanted to do a burn out for the Porsche owner's, but wife wasn't gonna hear about that.(only because I did a short burst in the turn 1 tunnel w/ a motorcycle cop right behind me...LMAO
Cop was cool, didn't seem to care. Hell.............that's all he'd heard all day long.
Will post pic's later for all interested.
We had maybe in total 10 vettes who'd parked with us in field. Maybe next year we can do better and get the Vette Corral's back to Daytona.
VERY sad though, PONTIAC had a corral w/ at least 50 car's +.

spiceman sorry I missed you tried your cell a few times only got voice mail then it shut off. had a great time like you but it was cold and damp. maybe next time we all can hook up :dancer01:

Corvette Corral/GM pulling out

It would cool if we could get a vette corral next year. I dont know what it would take to put one together. I am really sorry I missed everyone its a big place. I saw three or four vettes parked together by the international food market and a few spread out all over the place. I was talking to one of the GM people and they said GM doesnt want to put their money on the corvette racing team but put all their cash into the pontiac racing team. That was a real shock to me thats why the Corvette team was not there.:banghead: I just dont understand GM they had a good thing going we were winning and winning big. I guess thats why I'm not working for GM (:reddevil:)

Good point Scully about WHY w/ GM

Totally agree w/ your view.
The 4 vettes by the international food was us fella's of this site.
I thought I saw you drive by once. But so many vettes there anyway.

Rolex Photos (lots of them)

OK, while the Spiceman sorts out his photo woes, I'll post a bunch - Starting with the cockpit of #43, Team Sahlen C6.

Car #44 was there just for parts this weekend, and here it is being raided by a wrenchman (did I get that right, Spiceman?).

One of the four drivers, Wayne Nonnamaker of North Canton, OH, giving thumbs up for the faithful.

And this was the best shot I could get of #43. Sorry about all the Porche pics, but the GT's were mostly Porches, who were trumped by a Mazda when all was said and done.

Glad you had the one of Wife and I correct in the order, else everyone may have mistaken her for the pic on the hood of the Porsche, LMAO.

It was good to meet you Spiceman and hear some of your experiences with Corvettes. Wish I could go to Sebring but work prohibits it. Say hello to everyone.
From the great NW Florida,
Danny
Again if I can help with the corral for next year, let me know

Thanks Dan Z-06

Was truly a pleasure to meet as many new Vette owner's as I and wife Bonne did.
We'll hook up again one day for sure. For sure anyone can find me at the 24 hour's of Daytona. Haven't missed it for over since 1970, LOL. Always great fun and great times for sure.
