changing brake lines

Thought the Z06s already come with braided SS lines? I just got my Z06 brake kit in to swap onto my C6 and they came with braided SS lines. From all my reading on the corvette forums no one seems to have anything better?

I had it on the rack today changing the oil...and the short line on all for sides (wheels) looked like rubber to me unless it was SS under the black rubber jacket...mine is a c6 z06 08 model?

Well just one thread in a Z forum a lot of owners were investing in Stoptech or Goodridge SS brake lines. One did mention of some company SS brake lines coming with a rubber coating(clear though), so maybe the stock Z lines come with coated SS lines?

Seems almost everyone carries stoptech so a google products search should give plenty of links. The Goodridge lines can be bought at tirerack.

Go with Goodridge SS brake lines., Got mine at Corvette Garage for 109.XX. Easy install. Also, Los Angeles Performance Division has some they modified with heavy duty AN fittings and so does Mallet.
