</p>Back in 1957, Chevrolet’s 283/283 V8 engine with its new fuel injection system was capable of providing 1 horsepower per cubic inch. Fifty years later, Chevrolet’s top engine is the LT5 single-cam pushrod V8 that has an output of 2 horsepower per cubic inch!</p>Earlier this week we heard that that LT5 engine from the 2019 Corvette ZR1 would be offered as a crate engine from GM Performance and now we know how much that bill will be!
