Wanted want to buy C-5 or C-6

I am looking for a convertible for a occasional drive, not a daily driver. Looking for something with low miles, NOT a show car or collectable. (too expensive)
I am 72 and do not expect to drag race, just ride around with the top down.
Don't like silver, black or white exterior. Prefer stock without modifications.
2002 to 2006. cash deal.

Thanks

Thanks,

I know there are some out there, just need to find one. I just missed out by two days on a 04 yellow vert with 7000 miles. I just started my search and in no particular rush, but want to fine the "right one".

Experience with C5

We sold a great C5 convertible earlier this year. Everyone that called about it wanted "low mileage". There was absolutely nothing wrong with our C5 it just had 95,000 miles on it. My wife drove it to work every day and we kept it in excellent condition both cosmetically and mechanically. We ended up selling it but it took a long time and we reduced our price to get it done.

Since everyone else is looking for low miles and you just want to drive the Corvette occasionally, why not look for a higher mileage car? I think the competition for the right car would be less and you could get a better deal.

Corvettes with the LS engines can accumulate a lot of miles without any problems.

I agree with LEJ on that.

Low mileage is relative.

These things can go 150-200k easily with proper maintenance.

I have a 2001 pewter convertible 80k with a black top and black interior. It has a HUD, blackwing air filter. Everything else is stock. I bought it last year at Cars Unlimited in Fletcher and Florida ave. I bought a 5 year 100000 on top of the mileage now for engine and transmission warranty. It's automatic and the car is tune by Tampa Tuning. I'm asking 20k. It only goes out once in a while since I bought it.

Thanks Manolo. I'm going for a C6 

I just arrived in Florida last week and will be here until May 2011.
Still looking for a nice automatic vert C-5 or C-6
Looking for red or yellow, black interior. Would like low miles. I know the engines can run for many miles, but I would like a car that looks good both outside and interior. I am in Tampa area for next 6 months. Would appreciate any leads you can provide

Thanks,

rogers corvettes in maitland (by orlando)
http://www.rogerscorvette.com/

the toy store in Largo
http://inv.vettenet.com/

are 2 in the area. The Toy Store is MUCH smaller and generally has cars with more
miles on them than Rogers Corvettes does, but the price reflects that.
Good luck with the search!

And by the way.........WELCOME TO CORVETTE FLORIDA

Andy,

Thanks for your reply. I am 73 years old and would like to find a garage queen car that needs nothing except a driver (me).

I have run a car fax on some dealer cars and find they have had 3 owners. If possible would like to deal with an original owner who took good care of his Vette.

At my age I do not want to buy high mileage, or heavly used car that may need repairs.

I found a 04 Yellow Vert in Orlando with 23,000 miles and may take a trip there to look at it.

Thanks again

Joe

looking for vette

I know this is an old post but checking to see if you were ever able to find the vette you were looking for?

Not yet. I am at my summer address in the north east and will be at my Florida address north of Tampa, this weekend and will be there until April or May.
Not looking real hard, hoping I will stumble on a nice C-5 vert A-4 someday.
