Brainstorming thread about CorvetteFlorida excursions.

It appears that the excursion taking place in St. Augustine the first week of December is shaping up nicely, so I'm thinking we could make this into an event as often as we can, in as many places as we can. So I want this thread to be used for people to throw out ideas, or even to volunteer to be a "guide" in an area you might be very familiar with and help keep the rest of us from making a mistake about where to stay and where to eat, as well as some points of interest that are "must see" types of things.

To get the ball rolling, I'll throw out an idea....

How about Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island sometime? Connie has been
wanting to go back there. We've only just cruised through one day last Fall, but it looked like a nice place to spend a couple of days.

Anyone real familiar with the area?

That could be a heck of a weekend if the Amelia Concours show was part of the corvette get away weekend in early March. I know the Ritz has excellent accomodations and service but it comes at a serious price. Maybe some of our corvette brothers and sisters form that area could chime in with some input. I think My wife and I would go if the timing is right.
