Default GMPP not available in Florida?

I was just checking on a quote for the GM Protection Plan (Major Guard) on a website and was rather surprised to get a message saying that GMPP is NOT available within the state of Florida. Anyone got any ideas on why that is?

I'm buying my vehicle from a dealer in New Hampshire, so if I were to buy GMPP through them, is the car still covered in this state?

I've had recent conversations and a quote from Dennis Fichter (from that other forum) on covering mine and nothing has ever been mentioned about not being covered in FL. He has one of the best prices on the GMPP in the US. I will be interested in what you learn and in the meantime I will ask Dennis.

Rich,

I got GMPP on my C6 earlier this year and it was for a certified GM vehicle. Maybe it has to do with new warranty in effect.

Kind of interesting. The sheet I was sent supposedly shows DEALER COST. I was told that my price is $100 more than what is shown on the sheet. I'm looking at the possibility of getting an extended warranty for 84/56 for just $1,290. That sounds pretty reasonable to me! Especially when I was trying to get an extended warranty for the '02 Z06 when I got it and just about NO one would touch the Z06 at all. Wonder if that holds true for the C6 Z06 as well?

I would think it's good Nationally, regardless of where you bought it!

Rich, Call Ficter? Chevrolet in montana or Dakotas. The dealership is a big seller of the GMPP on Corvette Forum. I know I spelled it wrong. Few dealers impress me as Ken Ficter has for an honest answer. Mort

Actually I did send him an email. Yesterday, I think. Haven't gotten a response yet, but not surprising this time of year.

Thanks.
