7:30

Is any of the ole group gathering to go in together? Carrie and I plan on being there around 0730. Would love to see some of our buds.

Our club is planning on meeting at the Pier parking lot at 7:30. Last year we got there at 8 and ended up last in line and didn't get parked until almost 9! They line you up in the parking lot and release 5 or so at a time. Due to the fact there will be only 100 cars and they do a fantastic job of getting you parked, you could arrive at anytime and be guaranteed a spot, but where is another thing.

Yep, the show has limited registration for that very fact. The spaces are reserved when the Vette entry makes it to them. You will get a spot, but as you said the only variable is where on the Pier. The bad side of getting there early is that you still might not get the exact spot you want since they cannot save spots as they go. In the interest of saving time on warm Vettes idling in the sun they park them in the order they enter the Pier. The only advantage to gather up before hand is to get your group or club together and park in a row at the same time.

The staging is located in the parking lot at the beginning of the Pier. Members wll be there early to direct everyone in. If you are with a club and all want to park together, let one of us know and we will group you together. The reason for sending only ten cars at a time is a fire department requirement. They do not want 100 cars lined up on the pier if there should be a need to for them to respond and be blocked from getting to the pier. Last year I worked the staging area with my wife and three others. We had all the cars out of staging on the pier and parked around 9:00 am.

See everyone then.
