Definitely a lot of false warnings! If you drive by most grocery stores it will set it off. It will indicate that it is getting 2 signals, one for the in door and one for the out. On the all bogeys mode, which has no filtering, I can't even use it around town. Way too many signals. I turn mine on advanced logic, which gets rid of some, but not many. On my normal route to and from work, I just had to memorize where it goes off and how many signals it detects. I just have to pay attention to the number to see if it rises by one. Kind of a pain in the azz. On the highway, I just keep it on all bogeys mode. I do love the arrows though. One of the only things going for it. And the fact that if they make any upgrades to future detectors, that you can send yours in for the upgrade instead of buying a new one.

Get the Escort 9500i, you can mark false alarm spots.....

If I get pulled over (knock on wood), I'll hide mine for just that reason!

a friend that i work with we took our cruisers to a parking lot and tested out my valentine one and i must say it works however.... and yes there is a catch our cruisers have thier spedometers calibrated every 6 months so if your getting paced you can get pulled over and ticketed that is the one proven method that no radar laser detector can beat.

I did that to a high school kid one afternoon. He had just left school and had the stereo crankin, going down the road at 83 mph! I got right behind him and activated my emergency lights and he didn't even see me! After about a quarter mile I activated my siren....he freaked! I asked him if he knew how fast he was going, he said "umm...75?".:lmao:

I've done that on many occasions. It's real easy on motors because:

1- They don't expect a motorcycle
2- You can hide in thier blind spot:D

I've pulled along side at traffic lights and yelped the siren...

That was enough....no ticket required:lmao:

Valentine 1 saved my rear last Sunday. Cruising through Crystal River, picked up solid signal. About .5 mile up the road was a county mounty hiding in the weeds.:dancer01:

For years, my hubby and I have a V1 hardwired to our various cars. By no way do we use it as a means to speed, rather, it gives us the warning to slow down just a bit.

If more people used them like that, there'd be less for the popo to bitch about:lmao:

I've always said that our job (thier's now) should be education 1st, enforcement 2nd and NEVER revenue generation!!

You're a good guy Shadow. You are truly looking out for their safety as are most LEO's. It's just good to see guys like you post what you really think.

I have been using V1's for years...I would rather leave my wallet home then be without my V1. For one, it makes me more aware of how fast I am going, and keeps me more cognitive of my surroundings...it works for me...:D

Don't have the Vettes anymore, but we use both of our V1....in the Jeep and the Landrover. And our son has one in his Mustang......they definately save your bootay.:hehehe:

HIYA ANGEL! Long time since we've heard from you! Hope you and Ray are doing well and continue to post! Say Hi to the big guy for me will ya? Thanks.
Andy :wavey:
